Bringing my laptop to a bonfire was unexpected. If it sounds unusual, rest assured it feels that way too. But here we are.
Isobel and I have been camping along the northern coast of New England this week, stopping into coffee shops and using cell phone hot spots to get work done. So I'm writing this fireside, after working from a coffee shop earlier today and then lakeside hours later in another town. That makes this whole thing sound pretty idyllic. And most parts of it certainly are, but operating like this also requires a lot of flexibility. Which really means patience. The kind that looks like being ok with writing this and calling it good since figuring out where to stay tonight took priority.
It's day 22 of the MAP Year Project, where my goal is to write daily in pursuit of getting better. Showing up is enough today.
Our Daily MAP Year Prompt

When's the last time you gave yourself credit just for showing up and doing a little bit on the days when you almost didn't?
onward.
