Finding your rhythm requires some blues. Today was a good day, but I've been in a rut lately.
Waking up to rain was nice. Even better was not feeling the urge to hit "snooze" on my alarm. I confess, I've been hot garbage at writing my morning pages consistently these last few weeks. So today, I made my way to the coffee shop down the street.
They open earlier than the others, and stay open later, which is why I like it there. There's something about giving yourself a reason to go somewhere that makes it feel like... it's exactly what that place is meant for? Of course this coffee shop wants me to do my morning pages—it's the morning pages coffee shop!
So at 6am, I ordered my coffee, added a shot of espresso just for funsies, and wrote my morning pages. Then, I damn near finished reading my book, too.
After that I got to work.
Not to brag, but I also met and talked to two new people.
