When I started writing this daily email series, I hoped it would make me a better writer and communicator. I did not expect, however, that it would boost my gratitude as much as it has.
It makes sense; I guess I just hadn't thought about it from that perspective all that much. When looking for stuff to write about, I end up sort of reliving pieces of my days that I’d otherwise forget or overlook. It forces me to dig for the stuff below the surface, connecting small moments with parts of the bigger picture.
As I sit with the storylines while writing them, I end up finding more gratitude for the connected dots. There's always more to the story. That alone has made this something I look forward to each day.
